Born and raised in Dubai, I have been an ABA Therapist for the past 5 years and have a deep passion for supporting children with special needs. I am dedicated to creating a meaningful and lasting change in the lives of the individuals I work with. With a background in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), I am currently pursuing my Master’s in Special Education.
Throughout my career, I've had the privilege of collaborating with families and caregivers to develop personalized treatment plans that address the unique needs and goals of each child. I believe in the power of early intervention and strive to empower parents with the tools and strategies they need to support their child's growth and development beyond our sessions.
My approach is rooted in evidence-based practices and tailored to meet the specific needs of each individual. Whether your child is working on communication skills, social interactions, or behaviour management, I am committed to providing comprehensive support every step of the way.
I understand that navigating the world of special education can be overwhelming, and my goal is to create a supportive and collaborative environment where families feel empowered and confident in their child's journey towards success.

I have always loved helping people. This desire led me to get a Bachelors and Master’s degree in Social Work with a specialisation in Family and Child Welfare. While studying, I was given the opportunity to work with children, women and families. I got to assist in counselling families, observe therapy sessions with burn survivors, trauma patients and work with juvenile offenders.
My experience led me to working with a non-governmental organisation that works to promote deceased organ donation. Seeing a grieving situation turn into someone getting a second chance in life is priceless.
During my time in working with children, I was involved in understanding their cause for behaviours, analysing their family background, developing plans that would find new methods to build their interest in education and reduce negative behaviours.
I have been passionate about helping children with various needs, hence when I moved to Dubai from India, it led me to learn about ABA Therapy. I worked as a Learning Support Assistant; I then received my Registered Behaviour Technician certificate and I am currently working as an ABA Therapist.

Dara O'Mahony
The mental health and emotional well-being of children and adolescents is an area of deep passion for me. I believe that when young people are given a safe, compassionate space to explore their thoughts and feelings, they are better able to make sense of their experiences and navigate life’s challenges. A therapeutic space that is both attuned and supportive can be profoundly transformative.
Alongside therapeutic support, I also provide cognitive, educational, and neurodevelopmental assessments to help build a clearer picture of a young person’s learning profile, needs, and any potential neurodivergence such as autism or ADHD. This side of my work helps bring clarity to how a young person thinks, learns, and experiences the world. I take a neuroaffirming approach — honouring each young person’s unique way of being, supporting them to feel seen, valued and confident in who they are.
Originally from Ireland, I hold a BSc in Psychology from Dublin City University and an MSc in Applied Psychology from Trinity College Dublin. My therapeutic style encompasses CBT, CFT, and ACT, with creative and playful approaches used to support emotional expression in younger children. I am also trained in the ADOS-2, a structured, play- and conversation-based assessment used as part of the diagnostic process for autism.

Empowering children through compassion, collaboration, and evidence-based care
With over 10 years of experience in the field of Applied Behavior Analysis, I’ve had the privilege of working closely with children across diverse settings—from classrooms and homes to playgrounds, supermarkets, and community spaces. My journey began as an ABA therapist, supporting children in both one-on-one and small group sessions. What drives me most is seeing children grow in confidence and independence—whether through a new word, a small gesture, or a moment of connection. Every step forward, no matter how small, is meaningful. My role is not just to guide the child, but to support and equip the people around them—because lasting change begins with understanding, respect, and teamwork.
