She talks about early intervention programmes for young children with autism and other social communication difficulties. Shannon aims to provide practical information and strategies that will help ensure that you are encouraging the most meaningful change in your young learners.

  • Identify the critical elements of Naturalistic Developmental Behaviour Interventions (NDBI),
  • Identify at least 3 different assessment tools available to assist in guiding goal selection in behaviour analytic early intervention programmes.
  • Explain the role of motivating operations in the development of social communications and play skills.
  • Discuss evidence-based strategies to increase critical early learner skills, including imitation, social communication and play.
