Precision Teaching 1 (Free Course)

In this training, Dr. Claire McDowell, BCBA-D, will discuss the history and development of precision teaching, the importance of precision teaching and the steps to follow to ensure it is effectively completed.

Learning Objectives:

• Describe the history behind the development of precision teaching
• Describe PT as a system, that can be added to any teaching strategy
• Describe rate measurement and what is meant by fluency
• Develop materials that allow pupils to respond under free operant conditions
• Describe what: pinpoint, count, and chart entail
• Interpret a basic learning picture shown on the standard celeration chart, and suggest changes to a teaching programme
