Azadeh

Hello, I’m Azadeh (Azzy) and I’m from Cheltenham in the UK (although my background is Iranian). I am a Speech and Language Therapist at Inspire Therapy and moved to Dubai over 3.5 years ago to pursue my career here. I currently work with a range of children in schools, nurseries and at our clinic.

I have always had a strong interest in working with children with determination and gained experience in the field during my BSc. Degree in Psychology from the University of Reading, UK. From then on, my particular interest in supporting those with communication difficulties led me to obtaining my MSc. in Speech and Language Therapy, also from the University of Reading, UK.

My experience includes working with children in mainstream and specialist settings (including children on the autistic spectrum, children with hearing impairments and children with developmental syndromes), as well as with adults with learning disabilities, both for the public sector (NHS) in the UK, as well as in private practice in the UAE.

I assess and provide Speech and Language Therapy 1:1 and in groups, face-to-face and online in areas such as: speech sounds, fluency, language, AAC and social communication. I have been trained in using tools to support my work such as: SCERTS, PECS, Makaton and Social Thinking and have experience of working in ABA and closely with BCBAs and OTs .

I love living in the UAE and having the opportunity to meet people from all different walks of life. The sun makes me very happy and I enjoy spending time outdoors at the weekend, as well as exploring new places to go and travel to.
