Hello, I’m Azadeh (Azzy) and I’m from Cheltenham, UK (although my ethnic origin is Iranian). I am Speech and Language Therapist at Inspire Therapy and moved to Dubai 2 years ago to pursue my career here. I currently work with a range of children in schools, nurseries and at our clinic.

I’ve always had an strong interest in working with children with determination and gained experience in the field during my BSC degree in Psychology. Since then, my particular interest in supporting those with communication difficulties led me to obtaining my MSC in Speech and Language Therapy from the University of Reading, UK.

My experience includes working with children, particularly children on the autistic spectrum, as well as adults with learning disabilities, both for the public sector (NHS) in the UK, as well as in private practice in the UAE. I assess and provide Speech and Language Therapy that includes working on speech sounds, fluency, language, AAC e.g., Makaton, PECS and communication aids, social communication and group therapy.

I love living in the UAE and regularly meeting new people from all different walks of life. The sun makes me very happy and I enjoy spending time outdoors at the weekend, as well as exploring new places to go and travel to. I always make time to communicate to friends and family and find real enjoyment in connecting with other people, even if it’s in nonverbal form like giving a smile or a wave.
